Getting Closer!
 25 Jan 2009, 9:35 am

Hello all!  Wow, I can't believe I am almost 27 weeks pregnant!  I'm almost to the 3rd trimester!  Only 95 days left until our due date!  That is amazing!

My pregnancy is going pretty good, with the exception of a few bumps, lol.  I passed my one hour blood glucose tolerance test, so that's pretty exciting!  That not only means that I do not have gestational diabetes, it also means I don't have to go in for the three hour test.  That thoroughly excites me!

The baby is doing great!  Growing like a weed already!  I feel huge, and I still have three months left!  S/he is moving all over the place.  They like to play the bongos on my organs, esp my bladder, lol.  S/he also experienced their first fire drill on Friday.  Between the loud noise, chaos, and me running around, the baby didn't know what to do!  S/he was doing backflips all over the place!

We are pretty much done with our registries.  We may add a few more things, we may not!  We are registered at Target and Babies R Us.

The nursery is almost done being painted (only a few touch ups left).  I can't wait to start hanging things and actually putting stuff into the room!  I'm getting a lil impatient!

Work is going well, and I am slowly making improvements at PT, so hopefully I will be able to be released to full duty soon!   I can't wait to get back to my room, and actually be able to do my job!!

Well, that's our update for now!  Thanks for reading!

Flippity flop, flippity flop...
 20 Dec 2008, 9:46 am

Flippity flop, flippity flop.   That's pretty much what I'm feeling these days.  Our little contortionist just loves rolling and kicking and moving around.  Its so amazing!  Ryan hasn't gotten to feel it yet, because I don't think s/he is strong enough to feel the movements outside of my belly yet, but I have a feeling it won't be long!

I'm so antsy.  I feel like I need to do sooo much in preparation for this little one!  I want to clean out the nursery so we can clean, paint, and decorate!  We've decided to decorate the nursery in aquarium style.  So that means fish, turtles, starfish, seahorses, etc!  I'm so excited!!  Its going to be sooo cute!  We really like the Migi Splash bedding seen below...

Splash Bedding by MiGi - Baby Crib Bedding

but we also like this one as a very similar (cheaper) alternative!  and since the sets are so similar, the same accesories can be used for both!

Since we have a multi-dimensional room for the baby, we'll probably be painting the room two differnent shades of blue.  I'm so excited and can't wait to see this all come alive.  (I hope that it turns out like I think it will, lol).

We've also picked out some other big ticket items, but we still have yet to get our registry going!  We'll probably get that together in January!

I just can't believe in four months we will get to FINALLY meet our baby and hold him/her in our arms!  I hope the baby isn't spoiled, because I don't know if I'm going to let this baby go!

Well that's all for now!

We have one HEALTHY baby!!!
 16 Dec 2008, 7:43 pm

We had our u/s yesterday and it went great!  Our little baby was a movin and a groovin!  It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen!  Everything is accounted for and right where it should be!  We saw his/her organs, spine, brain, bones, and all four chambers of his/her heart!    He/she is quite the little contortionist, the picture that we have is a profile shot of his/her feet in front of their face, lol.  We were 20 weeks 4 days, and the baby weighed about 13 oz.  That's a big baby!  The book that I'm reading says at 20 wks babies weigh about 9 oz and at 21 wks they weigh about 10.5 oz.  So I guess our little person is gonna be off the charts!  We obviously didn't find out the gender, we're going to wait til he/she is born.  I'm soooooo excited!  All I can say is I'm even more in love now, and I can't wait to meet Elizabeth or Owen!

Everything else in life is going pretty good!  I'm back to work, so that is good!  The holidays are sooo close and I'm excited about that, and we'll be starting on Owen or Elizabeth's nursery soon!

Well, that's my spiel for now! Thanks for reading!  I'll update more later!  :)

almost half-baked!!
 7 Dec 2008, 7:42 am

Just an update:

So, I'm 19 weeks and 2 days pregnant.  In five more days, I will be officially half way through my pregnancy!  That's sooo crazy.

Things I'm enjoying right now:   feeling my baby move (its so amazing), watching my belly grow, thinking about the baby's nursery, pickles, chocolate, peanut butter, egg and cheese sandwiches, loving on ryan and jack, and being back to work!!! etc etc etc

Things that are currently annoying me:  not being able to sleep, being sore, still not having full use of my right arm, certain smells, the fact that my dog chewed through the cord on my heating pad, not being able to afford a lot for Christmas (because of being off work for 3 months), never knowing what to wear, DRY SKIN!!, what the dry air does to my sinuses/allergies etc etc etc...

Things I'm looking forward to in the near future:  seeing my baby on Dec 15th, spending the holiday season with friends and family, actually bringing home a paycheck again!!!

Well, there's a very punctuated update.  I'm going to ATTEMPT to sleep now.  thanks for reading!

So In Love...
 13 Nov 2008, 4:41 pm

Wow... I'm 16 weeks pregnant.

Do you have any idea how awesome this is?  I thought I knew before.  I was sure I knew how great this would feel.  I had no idea.  Its even better than I imagined.  :)

This is not to say that my pregnancy has been easy.  Dealing with the morning sickness, and other side effects along with the pain from the accident has been a struggle for me... but it is so worth it.  I wouldn't trade it for the alternative, that's for sure!!!

Its so amazing to think that everyday there is a little person growing and developing inside me!!!  In just a few months I will get to meet this person, and i can't even describe the emotion that I am feeling.  How did I get so lucky?

I don't know what our baby will look like.  I don't know whether it will be a boy or a girl.  I don't even know exactly what day this baby will be born on.  But I do know one thing.  I know that I love this little person, with every ounce of my heart, soul, and every piece of me.  This little person that I have never met has won me over, and I've never even seen his/her face.  I can't even imagine what that will do to me.

How is this even possible?  how can I love this baby so much?  I have a lot going on right now... and a few months ago, I probly would've been so deep in a state of depression, I might not have found my way out.  Then this miracle was given to me.  This blessing, sent just to give me a reason to smile and to remind me how truly blessed I am.  I thank God everyday for sending this baby to Ryan and I.  I hope that we can give him/her the life he/she deserves...  If it ever wants for anything... that thing will most definately not be love!!

Sarah :)
